Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker Recipe

Creating your own ice cream is a fun and satisfying process, but it can come with its challenges. Here are some final thoughts to keep in mind: Avoid common mistakes: Don't unplug your machine early, and ensure your mixture isn't too thick or too warm. Check the bowl: Always ensure the freezer bowl is fully frozen before use. Monitor churning: Check the texture every 10 minutes and wait a bit after it stops.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 250 ml whole milk
  • ¾ cup 175 ml granulated sugar or ½ cup raw sugar
  • 2 cups 500 ml heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon 15 ml pure vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Freeze the Cuisinart ice cream maker canister for at least 8 hours before starting the recipe.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the whole milk, sugar, and salt until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract until well blended.
  • Refrigerate the mixture for 1 to 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Before using, re-whisk the chilled mixture to ensure it's well mixed.
  • Turn on the Cuisinart ice cream maker and pour the chilled mixture into the frozen canister.
  • Let the mixture churn for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until it thickens to your desired consistency.
  • In the last few minutes of churning, you can add any mix-ins like chopped candies or sprinkles if desired.
  • Once thickened, transfer the ice cream into an airtight container and place it in the freezer for about 2 hours for a firmer consistency.
